A double blend of ultra high performance fabrics is engineered to protect on every level.

Manufactured by military supplier CQC, their expertise has helped us create an uncompromisingly secure slash-proof jacket.

The Vanguard also stands up to heavy duty workwear and is ideal for industrial workers, security staff, glaziers, fishermen, police, outdoor expeditioners and front line emergency responders plus so much more.

  • Slash Proof

    Two fabrics double up for robust blade protection: the SuperFabric outer shell has minute protective guard plates which repel a slashing blade whilst the Cut-Tex Pro lining is engineered to withstand a knife edge.

  • Cut Resistant

    Our hero fabric, Cut-Tex Pro has the highest Level 5 rating for cut resistance, meaning that when a blade is applied, even with pressure, it will not penetrate the fabric - making it five times more cut resistant than Kevlar.

  • Flame Resistant

    The SuperFabric of the jacket’s outer shell has an additional AmFr protective coating which provides fire, stain and microbial resistance, which, coupled with the guard plates, ensure a flame goes out within 15 seconds without melting or dripping.

  • Bite Resistant

    Skin is protected during a biting or scratching attack - whilst bruising may occur, the two fabrics ensure skin will be unbroken, reducing the threat of potentially serious infections such as HIV and Hepatitis.

  • Military Grade

    CQC uses the same standards in their manufacturing for Salus as they do when supplying kit for the armed forces - a keen attention to detail fortifying the jacket from a multitude of threats.

  • Water Resistant

    The best clothing fabrics offer breathability alongside water resistance. SuperFabric does both - allowing air to circulate around the tiny spaces between the guard plates whilst having an additional anti-rain treatment.

  • Antimicrobial

    The SuperFabric outer shell uses the antibacterial properties of silver impregnated into the fabric to fight the bacteria, mould and mildew - keeping the jacket fresher for longer.

  • Abrasion Resistant

    SuperFabric gets its tough durability thanks to hundreds of small, hard guard plates adhered to the fabric making it locally strong, but globally flexible. Guaranteed to protect up to 5 times better against all abrasions such as grinding and rubbing.

  • Puncture Resistant

    The Cut-Tex Pro liner offers protection from sharp items such as fish hooks or nails, whilst the SuperFabric outer shell repels sharp edges with its tiny hard guard plates.

    Complete impact protection from above, fully lined with Cut-Tex Pro to prevent damage to the head.

    Head and neck is secure with a high zip up collar, button fastening and drawstrings to pull the hood over to protect ears.

    All fully lined with cut and slash resistant fabric to ensure no point of weakness.

    Sleeves

    Made of the toughest ripstop fabric used by Navy Seals and the SAS - offer resistance to rips and tears whilst being both waterproof and breathable.

    Magnetic fastening means ease of use even when wearing gloves. An inside covert pocket behind another cut-proof layer even combats pickpocket threats.

    The slash resistant liner protrudes from the sleeves to cover the vulnerable wrist areas from laceration.

    SuperFabric: resilient to abrasions, sharp edges and puncture. Weatherproof, fire resistant, breathable and stain resistant. Can be worn alone without the inner lining.

    Cut-Tex Pro: high performance protection for hostile environments. Exceptional slash and tear resistance, prevents laceration and rapid blood loss.

    Made by CQC who supply body armour to the UK military, ensuring durability is woven into every fibre.

    Coolmax mesh inside the jacket allows air circulation, whilst the whole jacket is treated with Salus’ Anti-Rain solution for ultimate outdoor performance.
